Foxtim is certified for Forest Stewardship Council® - FSC®, considered of major recognition and importance in the global context in the forest product industry. The FSC certifies Forest Management, ensuring best practices in the forest, and Chain of Custody which encompasses the industrial processing.
The certifications attend to the FSC principles and criteria: environmentally appropriate, protecting and maintaining natural communities and high conservation value forests; socially beneficial, respecting the rights of workers, communities and indigenous peoples; and economically viable, building markets, adding best value, and creating equitable access to benefits.
Regarding the consumer market demands and seeking excellence of its social and environmental responsibilities, Foxtim acquired in 2012 the Chain of Custody certification.
FSC Chain of Custody certification verifies that FSC certified material is identified through this chain and allows the company to label its FSC products, which in turn enables consumers to identify and choose products that support responsible forest management.
